The Quarterback Den
The Quarterback Draw Football Den concept is to organize small groups of 16 players to play scheduled games or in a play-off . A person, called the Den Manager /Group leader can gather the players and schedule an event like a sports night. People normally gather to see games. If you have a computer and a internet connection or a table model ,you can set up a QDF Den as a pre game activity an hour before a game. You have the option to request a playing fee, or collect a joining fee from your group before they begin to play.
How do I start a Den?
First select a Den Manager. That person could be you or someone that will organize the players. If you want to be a Den Manager get familiar with the game. Visit the website and use the practice Standalone game. over the internet.
After that you may want to have Bang-Go cards or a Bonanza Scoreboard for the game. The Bang-Go cards are similar to a Bingo Game card. The Bang-Go cards are marked in relation with the yard lines of the final game The Bonanza Scoreboard is based on the final score of the game.
How do I organize the Den Players?
When you gather 16 players for your Quarterback Den. Next you will have the option to control this group. (That's why you need a computer or a game table ).
Present the game to your friends maybe on regular nights;
Make a list of your friends that want to participate in the Quarterback Den that you are scheduling;
It is your options to have a joining fee and highlight prizes that they can win;
After you have the 16 players to start your the Den :
1. List the 16 names that you have collected.
2. If some of your friends who do not want to use their names, register them in a way they are satisfied to play.
The games are ready to start. Call your friends when it is their turn to play.
When player gets eliminated from the playoffs, they will turn their attentions to their Bang-Go cards and Bonanza Scoreboard blocks. The eliminated players still have chances to win prizes. This will keep them tuned up to the very end of the night.
Dens also work well with 8 players. So you can optionally have these smaller Dens, or even have multiple simultaneous 8 player dens.
How to encourage your friends to participate?
Remember, that Football is a game loved by many. YOU are the Sportscaster for your Den. As a Sportscaster you should portrait the image as if you are in a real game. Your friends will have more fun and they will surely come back.
What Happens In a Power Failure?
If a power supply problem is encountered regarding your computers or table type board game, The Den Manager has an option to restart any game.
The Player that had the leading score had a problem!
If this happen in the 4th quarter and there is a lead for 25 points or more the game is over.
